Help Me.

I have an old iMac Graphite G3 and was installing os9.2 when it froze. I restarted, and ever since, all I get is a blank gray screen. I have tried to boot from the cd, but it doesn't even seem to recognize there is a cd. I have reset the PRAM and NVRAM through Open Firmware and nothing has changed. Does anyone have any ideas how to maybe fix this, or at least get my info off of the hard drive?

Pull the drive and put it into an external case.

If you have ever changed the HD or optical driver internally, try reseating the IDE cable.

What happens if you option-boot it?

Disconnect all external devices except keyboard and mouse (only syaing this in case you have not tried this already)

Also have you tried resetting the PRAM? - occasionally helps in these situations.
