I just got my new iMac yesterday and so far the experience has been uber sweet, but i expected nothing less. One of the main selling points that lead me away from a powermac to the iMac is the inclusion of Front Row. I am starting to watch a lot of IPTV and thought this would be the perfect way to do it, especially with the nice 20inch display. Well i wasn't wrong about that, creating separate folders in the movie folder and then using front row to view them is absolutely great, BUT i ran into a few things i found rather annoying..

1) No pausing leaving the video and then coming back to pick up where you left off. Sort of frustrating, but it wouldn't be as bad if...
2) Fast forward speed is pretty slow - i think i roughly timed it at about 1 sec of fast forwarding equals 6 seconds of video. So it takes me 1 minute to go 6 minutes in a video - the videos i watch are usually 20-45 min long. So if i pause in the middle to take a break and go back to the desktop or something then come back, i have to fast forward for 2-3 minutes.

Anyone else experiencing these same frustrations? Are there ways around these things at all or am i missing something? This doesn't make me question my purchase of the iMac or anything, but just some annoyances i thought I would share.

I have the same problems . . . . i thought the video would start up from where i left off, but nope . . . this is something i hope apple fixes right away . . .

another suggestion is for them to allow us to make a playlist so that i can run music videos during a dinner party or something . . . that'd make life so much easier . . . right now, itunes is refusing to let me import my music videos . . . .
I am part of Lakers Nation and love to buy Used Golf Clubs

Yeah, i guess right now iTunes just "supports" video playback, but video playback is still not a well integrated feature. Maybe as it becomes so, so will front row better video playback and maybe then iTunes will allow for things like video playlists. It has to be forthcoming... right?
