Has anyone tried these OCZ 2gb modules..

Only problem is, I might get tempted to just buy 4 gigs of ram every few months until I get 16 Can OS X even use all that ram if your not doing film editing?

Yes you can use that much RAM without doing film editing.
However you'll have a hard time getting that RAM, since it's out of stock everywhere on Froogle.

Im hearing soo much conflicting advise, Kingston saying that only their Apple ram will work in the PowerMacs, the other stuff might, or might not..

Sounds like a heap of ******** being peddled to get us to pay a premium for the same stuff. Could I put 8 sticks of this into a PowerMac G5?

Anyone know?

Daniel.

Kingson is right to the extent that there is a lot of RAM out there that won't work in Macs. There are plenty of people on these forums who can attest to that. But their RAM isn't the only RAM that is guaranteed to work.

You could put 8 sticks of that in your PowerMac (as in, it would fit). No idea if it would work, or cause frezes/kernel panics down the line.

I'd pay the premium for Crucial (linky for your PowerMac), after currency conversion its $159AUD+tax.
