The built-in iSight will not focus on barcodes. Other cameras do. Anyone else have this problem?

Hey reemas, I didn't know webcams could focus. I know digital cameras do. iSight is not a digital camera, it is just a higher resolution webcam...Hope this helped...

Does it really? Didn't know that...what button do I have to press or is it automatic?
Even if it focus, would it have Macro Focus?

it's automatic. but you can get iGlasses and do it manually. there is also an option for macro focus.

Amazingly, it has a macro mode -- it can focus in to about an inch.

AMAZINGLY you can't configure jack shiat manually w/o something like iGlasses. the person responsible for this @apple should get his/her ass kicked...

reemas: from the title of the post, are you saying that Delicious Library can't use the iMac iSight? I'm wondering if that's not Delicous Library's fault, namely it's looking at the firewire port for the webcam and the USB port isn't written into the software? Seems a more likely explanation, maybe? Anybody using Delicous Library contacted them for clarification?
