Hi

I posted my problem before and recieved some links and help to try to fix my powermac. None of them worked and I am still having constant kernel panics (among other smaller problems).

I've heard a story about one person who needed a replacement on a dual 2.5 with BTO options, and the apple rep said they had none in stock and said something like this: "will a quad with 2.5 gigs of ram be okay?"

So...to make a long story short, will apple replace my powermac (hopefully having no dual 2.7s in stock), or will they try to reformat (which ive tried)?? BTW I have ProCare.

Thanks in advance

Call them and find out. No one here will give you a definitive answer.

If you haven't sent it in for repair yet, they will probs try to repair it first - at least thats what they said to me when I sent in my single 1.8 G5 PM - they would not consider a replacement until they had tried to repair it at least 3 times, (AND I have applecare, not Pro mind) but yes, call them and see what they say
