I have a powermac G4 that i just bought off my freind, i accedentlaly hit my surgeprotector and it turned off, when i turned my comp back on, it all the colors are (the best word i can use is) pale. the X is grey and the - and + are green on my boxes. ive tried resatrting, turning monitor off, messisng with colors on the display menu, unplugging moniter from comp, and degaussing, i think the screen is fine, but ther comp is sending a bad pic to the screen any ideas?

try resetting your PRAM. If you're using OS X repair permissions. Just a couple thoughts.

Sounds like the cable isn't connected properly - either that or one of the leads is broken.

leads broken? cam that happen from a power outtage?
