Can someone please tell me if you can retreive trash?
I accidentally erased some files out of the trash bin, and they were VERY important.

Where do the files go? There has got to be a way to retreive them.

Please somebody help me, I'm going to be sick to my stomach. lol

Seriously though, these are important files. Can an Apple Tech retreive trash?

Yes, you can recover trashed files. If you deleted the files recently and haven't done much since then it should be fairly easy to recover those files. There are many utilities that will attempt to recover deleted files. Check out versiontracker for some options (there are a few that are free) I have not personally tried any of these so I can not vouch for them. All I can say is backup in the future And I wish you the best of luck, its a sickening feeling deleting something really important, I deleted about 10GB of Video data that I really wanted to keep and didn't figure it out for a few months by that time it was too late. Anyways good luck!

P.S. If the files are life and death important, e.g. you deleted your 400 page Doctoral PHD paper that has taken 4 years to write then there are professional services that can recover data, but they can be very pricey.

Ohhhhh my God thank you so much for replying.
I think I might keep my lunch down now. These files are VERY important.

Their music files, and some of them we're by artists the studio PAID for.

So, yes these are VERY important. These are post-production too, so a lot of work was already done to them.

I'm still scared to see if they come back, but thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

NOW, why doesn't Apple warn you when your about to delete a file where 90% of the data was in use?
They don't give much heads up.

Thanks again though. I hope good luck finds you this week.
