I just bought a new 20" iMac at the local Apple store the other day. One thing that I noticed that I thought was a bit odd were the stickers "sealing" the box. There were three of them on the top. However the middle and left sided ones looked like they may have been tampered with. The one on the right looked as I would imagine normal. I took pictures of them before opening the box. Everything in the box looked unopened, and the computer seems to be perfect. I just thought the tamper stickers on the box looked odd and wondered if this was normal.

While they do look a little suspicious, you have to remember that these boxes go through quite a lot on the way to the Apple Store. Many times stickers will become unpeeled a tad in shipment.
Normally, the only sticker is the one on the tab that closes the box. If that one was untampered-with, it should be virgin machine. If not, I'd complain, especially considering your Front Row problem.
Sometimes the boxes get so banged up in transit to the Store that the Store has stock of new boxes that they can put your computer in. This is what might have happened. Some people are very picky about the box apparently.
