I am using an eMac with a superdrive. I have been trying to take an imovie then using the idvd button in imovie burn a DVD, it times out again and again with out burning the DVD. The movie is a collection of slides with
music, about 10 minutes long. When I try a 3 slide move it will in fact burn a dvd. I have doubled the memory and it still times out. Thanks for your help!

Movie projects can take up a lot of virtual memory, too. Do you have ample hard disk space available?

Are you using the same version number of iDVD as iMovie e.g. iMovie4 with iDVD4? - In my experience you cannot use iMovie5 with iDVD4.

Also, what do you mean by "times out again and again"? Sometimes it takes a lot longer to burn the DVD than you think and also the iDVD burning progress window was never accurate with iDVD 4 so you never really knew how far along you were in the process.
