I've been using my G5 1.6 with a cheap 17inch CRT for a year or so. I've always ran at 1152x864, because at 1280x1024 there was too much flicker.

I turned the G5 on this morning and the screen was on 800x600, and now there is no option to go to 1152x864. My only choices are 1024x768 and 1280x1024, neither of which I ever use.

Is there a way to force the G5 to recognize another screen resolution? I want 1152x864 back!

Thanks.

Did you try running the higher res and adjusting the refresh rate?

Or alternatively, go into System Preferences -> Displays and click Detect....

I've done "Detect Displays" and restarted and everything, and still nothing.

Strange, huh?

Find the Preferences.

Delete the Preferences.

See if that helps.
