So my boss just bought a sawtooth G4 400 for $50 (I've been trying to upgrade his beige G3 for about a year now and still haven't gotten everything to work properly, so I told him just to buy a barebones G4 and I'll just use that instead).

But we dumpster dove a gigabit ethernet dual G4 500. Since I got everything set up in the sawtooth, I was wondering if it would be possible to just pull the DP500 CPU module out and put it in the sawtooth, so I don't have to swap all the other stuff back out.

You'll have to check the Sawtooth's Uni-N revision to see if the board is dual-compatible.

You can do so here.

If it is, yeah, you can just drop the Dual 500 in and boot her up.
