ok, i just found out today that im getting a used, iMac 266MHz in Tangerine and its running OS 9.1. now, i need a WiFi card to get on the internet, what kinds will work with this mac and where does it go? also, is it possible for me to Upgrade to OSX if so, what version will work?

I found some USB 802.11b/g adapters from Fry's work under Mac OS X. However, hunting down the right driver can be difficult. You may want to find out the chipset and google it.

Up-to Mac OS X 10.3.9 (Panther), unless you clean install Tiger from another Mac and move the hard drive into the iMac.

Use a WiFi-to-ethernet adapter, like those commonly sold as "gaming" adapters. The old iMacs have no option for internal WiFi, and with just one USB bus (not to mention the scarce driver support), it makes a lot more sense to use the ethernet port.
