Hello,
My mac mini, when trying to boot, hangs on the apple logo.

I have been able to boot in target mode but I don't have another mac to check the disk.
I have been able to reset the PRAM by pressins command + option + P + R and waiting 5 dings,
I have been able to boot on open firmware, but when typing mac-boot it still tries to boot and hangs on the apple logo. (I made it to open firmware by keeing the on button pressed for 30 seconds or so AND by typing command + option + O + F

I have just moved in a new house and wan't put my hand on my macosx DVD...


BUT i can not boot on single user to try a checkdisk. I try to type COMMAND + S btu it does not work.
I use a PC USB keyboard since I have a wireless bluetooth apple keypboard...
I tries CTRL + S, WINdowd + S , ALT + S... everything...


I am a new mac user.
please help...

Unfortunately, the best option seems to be booting from an external disk, such as the one that came with your mac.

Have you tried booting in Safe mode, by holding 'shift' during startup?
