Hi I just bought a brand new iMac G5 17" (which is awesome!), and i noticed it has gigabit ethernet. Is the ethernet port also one of those fancy ports that can directly connect to another computer without the need for a crossover cable (in other words you can just use a normal ethernet cable and the imac will 'think' its got a crossover cable)?

Cheers

Yes, every Mac and most PCs shipped in the last few years support auto-MDI-X (and you only need one end to support it for it to work).
