I just wanted to know which brand to go with for Memory Upgrades. I have a iMac g5 coming to me next week and I would like to upgrade the memory from 512mb to about 2.5GB (will be purchasing an extra 2GIG) I see ads on ebay for samsung memory for like $220 for 2gigs. What is the best kind of memory for imacs or what comes standard with the system (brand wise).

Samsung good memory, whats the best memory, where to buy and what comes stock with imacs. Thanks and sorry for the questions

I've heard of Apple using Hynix, Micron, and Samsung.

Crucial loves you.

I would make sure to get memory that is guaranteed to work with the iMac. I bought a 1GB module for my boyfriends mini, which didn't work even though it met apples specs perfectly. For my iMac I bought the 2GB chip from http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Other.../4200DDR2M2GB/ It was not that expensive, and runs great!
