I have the G4, it is all stock.
When I bought it it ran fine, with no problems. I have had it about a year now.
As time goes by, it has gotton progressivly slower. Now it is pretty slow and when using the internet, it has locked up a couple of times. I have emptied the cache and reset safari.
I have read that there is no need to defrag with OS 10.x. Is there something else that I need to be doing to keep the performance up on my computer?I know that more memory would help, but my real issue is the fact that it fine before, and is just getting slower.

Thanks
Kent

I would buy more RAM. It might seem expensive but it is a good investment that will keep your Mac running strong for a long time. Speaking of RAM, I need to get some : )
