hi all.
on thursday i ordered a PowerMac G4 AGP Graphics 400mhz 20gb 512mb from forevermac.com
 :-)
it should arrive on wednesday. I cant wait!!!
i'll finally be able to use panther!
i'm gonna go silly upgrading it.. i want to get a 1ghz proccessor, ATI Radeon 8500 (i might want to go to 9000, but i dont know how much thats gonna cost) and i want to up the ram to a gig or whatever 512+256 is....
please recommend me what to buy for it and upgrades!

If the computer you are buying has Panther already loaded cool. If not, I would highly recommend getting Tiger instead. Tiger is more refined than Panther. If you want to/ go to www.mactracker.ca/. Download this freeware. In Mactracker is a firmware update you can download that you need I THINK (not sure) to run Tiger. Print the READ ME directions in the firmware update before you begin. That would be the best upgrade you can do. Next, go to at least a gig of ram. One can never be too thin, too rich or have too much ram. Good luck!

The 8500 is actually a bit more powerful than the 9000.

just gone to mactracker. its a info thing for macs. it doesnt say anything about firmware...
it comes with 9.2.1 loaded, so i'll install my 9.2.2 disks, and then my panther disks.

i need to download firmware update 4.2.8 to run os x.
i'll download that on monday before it comes on wednesday.
