Hi.

I just sold my 1.8 single processor Powermac and I planned to buy a 2.0 dual core G5 Powermac. I am a hobby photographer and use my computer to Photoshop, along with spreadsheet crunching, web browsing, email, etc.

With the new intel imac out now, I have to consider it, especially since I also planned to buy a new LCD in the next few months. Your thoughts? Should I wait for new Powermacs? Not sure I can wait, though...

I'd go for the Intel iMac. If you need a bigger screen, they now have DVI and support screen spanning so you can connect another screen for more area (up to 23/24" HD).
Even with emulation for Photoshop it should be fast enough for hobby needs.
