For some reason the FireWire ports on my computer are not working. Is there a driver that I could reinstall or is there something that I need to call Apple about and send in my computer?
I have an MacBook, 15" monitor, 1 GIG ram, 120 gig internal hard drive, 500 gig external hard drive, and an iMac with 40 gig internal hard drive with iSight web cam. Using Mac OS 10.5 Leopard

If you get pacifist, you can install custom components from the installer disc. I take it you tried multiple devices? If it's just one device then it could just be that you need a driver for the device - firewire devices don't usually need one but I think there are some that do.

Also, try different cables and clean the cable connections.

Have you tried a PRAM reset? Reboot while holding Command-Option-P-R until you've heard the startup chime a total of three times.
