Does anyone know if the new Intel Macs will boot both OS X and Windows XP and for that matter Linux?

I am hoping for a solution similar to the way Maac's would be able to boot in both OS9 and OS X when OS X was first released.

The ability to boot Windows XP is highly debated. Windows XP does not natively support EFI, but EFI does have a legacy emulation/compatibility mode. Intel's Australian office said Windows XP will run on the 945 platform with EFI.

Basically right now noone knows for sure. The "quality" of most of these blog posts out there saying it will or will not work rivals the blog posts promising an HDTV Mac and other nonsense rumors at MacWorld. In other words, it's just people talking with no actual facts to drive traffic to their site and earn a few bucks on Google AdSense.

Odds are, in about a week or two, someone will have a solid procedure that works for booting Windows XP on a Intel based Mac. Even if it takes some hackery with Linux boot loaders and how the disks are partitioned, someone will find a way.
