Problem in need of a solution: transferring files/apps from an older G3 to a newer G4. G3 has ADB connections; G4 has USB; external 1 GB hard drive has SCSI. Wondering if it is possbile (stupidly wondering?) to transfer files between computers using ethernet or if anyone has any suggestion.

Thanks.

Yes, of course you can transfer files over ethernet. Millions of people do it every day.
With both computers on the same network (or with a network cable between them), enable sharing for the 1GB drive on the G3, then connect to the G3 from the G4 and copy away.
