The key to running Vista or even WinXP is with a bootloader like GRUB. The way this works is that EFI will load GRUB, And GRUB will load any OS you have installed. To Install Windows, you will use GRUB to load the Windows Installer. GRUB works with BIOS and EFI and it is what BIOS or EFI loads first.

No he didn't. If you read the thread he linked, he says that he got it to ask him for a boot CD. But then it never actually occurred to him to try putting the Vista CD in the drive. Just because the system asks you for a boot disk doesn't mean that it's going to recognize the disk you give it as a bootable volume.

Hence the 'almost'.

The new Macs do not recognize MBR, so they're all screwed until a new Vista beta comes out.

Sorry, that doesn't warrant even an almost. We still have no proof that there is a way to get the system to recognize the Vista CD. Even then, you still have boot loader issues. It's one thing to install Windows on an iMac, it's another thing to make it dual-boot. (Yes, I know that's trivial compared to getting Windows installed).
