Problem. I have a lovely dual G4 450 and cannot get a hold of a power supply farley cheap or at all. I have read about MDD power supply for Quick silvers and digital audios. Anyone ever heard of mofiying either an ATX with outsource adapter or modifying an MDD?

Gigabits have a PSU that delivers 28V to the motherboard. ATX PSUs do not deliver 28V so it's not possible to do this unless you install an extra voltage converter.

Right, but I have heard of people using an extra power supply outside of the case and also people converting a power supply from an Mirrored Door?

I'm not sure how compatible an MDD powersupply would be. Try asking your question on the applefritter forums or search a bit on xlr8yourmac.com. Applefritter is somewhat a "hack your mac" forum. Those people know a lot about modding macs.

It could also be that you don't need those 28Volts when you have a non-ADC videocard in your mac. But don't take my word for it.
