Hi,

I was expecting a price drop o the imac G5 and had made up my mind to buy one and replace my old LCD imac 800MHz. It is beginning to feel a bit slow with all the video and photos I am putting on it.

Question is should I wait and hope for a rebate/price drop on the imac G5 or go with the new intel imac?

What is your opinion? I dont really care about running classic.

17" or 20" iMac?

If you're looking a the 17" I would buy the new Core Duo model as the price is just that good for what you get, not matter what a discounted model would be. The 20" could be a different story depending on you budget. If it was me, I wouldn't buy anything but the newest model Intel iMac as I know I would just wish I had the new one a week after I purchased the G5. But that's just me!

I would go with the 17" Core DUO, as i think this is the sweet spot for this iMac,
