Hi, I got a G3 B&W from a friend. With logicboard & processor only. The rest are missing or faulty according to him. So I am thinking to revive it.
I replaced the PSU according to this mod, with a PC ATX 350W. Put in a PC100 64MB SDRAM, IDE 10GB HDD, ATI Rage 128 PCI mac ver.

Press the power button, no startup sound. The on board LED for both power-check is on, processor-check only blink once, IDE is on, USB wont on. PSU & casing FAN is spinning. No video. HDD not spinning.

I wonder what went wrong... any of you have any clue?

Try different RAM. My old B&W was very picky about RAM...

thanks for your reply.
Will definitely try that. Have you experienced the same thing I have when the RAM are not compatible?

I can remember exactly. It's been a long time. But I definitely remember my B&W and my Sawtooth being very picky about RAM.
