any one know if the mac mini gets hot. I am plainin to use it in my car but If the duo core is cooler I think I may wait but I don't know. I am plaining to get it in feb. Also do you think I would need a KVM switch or just a video spilter. I would like to use a monitor and a projector.

Your thread title lacks info.

If you put it in an enclosed space it will get very hot very quick. If you leave it out in the open with good airflow it will get warm, as it does sitting on a desk.

It is going in a closed area and that is why I was thinking of waiting for the due core mac mini. It uses less watts and won't get as hot from my understanding.
