anyone have problems with a sony Q28A drive

Just purchased a dual 2.7 refurb, and the sony Q28A drive makes this chirping sound on boot, shutdown, disk insert and eject and the other day I was booted up from an external firewire disk, and the drive chirped every couple of minutes. Very annoying! Thinking of contacting apple about this?
