Ok,
A little help would be great as Apple support would not help over the phone. I run a package called Pro Tools. I have a G5 Dual brand new with Tiger OS. I have a Maxtor Ext HD. Whenever trying to save something, it is givin me a an error that the drive "is not an audio volume". Well there is a setting in my app to change this, however, it will not accept it. My question is this:
THe drive is blank, how do I start from scratch ad reformat from the very beginning. I tried Disk Utility and it iappears to lock up.
Any help would be great for this apple newbie.

Thanks in advance
