Well I figured I'd let yall know that I never even would have believed that today would come, but it did. I finally received my Intel iMac and I must say beiing a first time mac user this is the best computing experience i've ever known. In all honesty this is my first time really using a mac other than piddling around with one at an apple store. Figured I would let yall know now I am aware you all are mac users. Still learning Mac OS and must say it has been the best experience ever so thank you guys you're the best!

The great thing is, when the "honeymoon" period ends, and you look at the machine with a more critical eye....it still seems like a brilliant piece of work.

AND...once you get used to the speed, more Universal Apps will be released and you'll see even better performance!

Yea, that and you'll be using an OS that usually gets FASTER with each release!

As the Intel transition progresses, I'm sure that OS X and other apps will continue to include enhancements that increase performance on the new (for public release anyway) architecture.

Yeah, I have been using macs since system 7 - my first mac was a IIsi, and the core duo is (IMHO), the pinnacle of UI, industrial design, great software, and FAST hardware. For a prosumer machine, I am blown away. Can't say I have any complaints. Also, never realized how much I would use the built-in iSight, its terrific!

yeah i mean my roommates and i have been sitting here in awe at this machine (they of course are on pc's which i have just switched from and will never go back to.) Front may have it's problems to some experienced mac users but being a first timer it is one of the coolest programs i've ever used. I love the dvd part and the itunes access I used it last night going to bed this thing is awesome I really can't put it into words.

Congratulations!

It's nice to finally understand what us Mac Freaks are talking about. Welcome to the family. This is the place I cam to for answers and suggestions. The best place on the Internet to learn about using and loving Apples.

I just bought a 20 inch Intel iMac as well and it is amazing!
