Hi, I've been searching the forum for a long time for an answer to this question. I know the G5 ram has to be installed in pairs, but i was wondering if they have to be "dual channel kit" pairs. or could I simply pick up 2 1GB sticks of ram from the same manufacturer? Here's what I'm talking about

I can either buy 2 of these from Corsair (I've heard pretty good things from them): http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...acture=CORSAIR

or buy a "dual channel kit" from Corsair: http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...acture=CORSAIR

In theory they are both identical. But the "dual channel kit" costs about $30 more. What's the difference, and what would you suggest, based on experience? Thanks!

Two sticks of the same thing works just as well as a kit. Buy whichever is cheaper.
