Hey all,
finally got dual 500 GE tower working with a new power supply. However, original AGP video card shows only black screen at startup, both with ADC and VGA monitors. It also doesnt' show up in system profile. Fried? The PCI video card in slot 3 works fine.

If this card is done for, what's my best bang for the buck in a replacement? I can get an original for maybe 25 bucks, and that would be okay. I can spend a bit more if it got me something with significant gains, if not, back to original type card. Also, I would like to have the ADC option in the new card, so no flashed cards with non-working ADC adapters.
Love all and any advice from wise and experienced Mac masters.
all the best

Since you'll be limited by the AGP slot, I wouldn't go much higher than a GeForce 2 MX. That would probably be the most bang for your buck (and maybe the most available).

I'd say a Radeon 7000 or better. You're AGP slot is fast enough AFAIK.

thanks for the advice.
Got a radeon 7 grand on the way. DVI, VGA and composite out with dual monitor support. It looks to be a nice upgrade from the original. Gonna keep the ADC cinema display on the other tower.
