I have a friend who ordered that stuff, and it works.

Go for it.

Part No. CT500622 1GB, 200-pin SODIMM Upgrade for a Apple iMac 2.0GHz Intel Core Duo (20-inch) System US $164.12 1 US $164.12
Part No. CT256MBUFD Crucial Gizmo! Hi-Speed 256MB USB Flash Drive US $.00 1 US $.00
Subtotal US $164.12
? Estimated Sales Tax US $9.03
Free shipping (5-7 business days) US $0.00
Total US $173.15

I bought a 1GB from Crucial.com and you get a free 256Mb flash drive.

I couldn't find a better deal and I wanted the 1Gb stick to add to my 512Mb stock Amazon.com iMac duo. Apple wanted $300. That Orca stuff is about $60 cheaper (probably the cheapest price going)

And again. Note how the FIRST poster is linking to a site with prices in POUNDS, this is (it seams) that for some reason it's quite difficult to find places IN THE UK that have the ram IN STOCK. Posting comparison prices in USD is of little use.

Just to feedback, I ordered the RAM, it arrived, and works perfectly (albeit with a little difficulty installing it)

Orca RAM:

Description 256MB Module 512MB Module 1GB Module

Price (ex VAT) £32.20 £38.60 £65.90

Price (inc VAT) £37.84 £45.36 £77.43

1# ~ 1.74 U.S. $
$65.84 $78.93 $134.73 = Still $30 US cheaper than Crucial. I was thinking Euro ~1.19 before. That VAT is insane ~$20 US.

Crucial did raise their rates for this stuff a few weeks ago. NewEgg didn't have it, but maybe I wasn't patient enough in trying to find it.

http://www.memorytogo.com/comp_model...Model~imac.htm $106

Is MacNN a UK/Euro site?
