My eMac 1.42Ghz 512RAM took over 6 hrs. to burn 2 hrs. long Divix movie with Toast. Is this normal?

Yeah thats pretty normal, unless your were just burning it as a data dvd.
If you were burning it as a dvd playable on your household dvd player then it was reencoding it which takes forever. Six hours isn't at all unusual for that.
