I plan on putting a second hard drive into my Powermac G4 but have a quick question. I know the IDE cable is pretty short and that there are two holes drilled in the hdd holder. I first thought that it just gave u the choice to raise the hdd for better cooling or if it was a bigger sized hdd but now im wondering if maybe some people do that (have two hard drives stacked on that small IDE cable. I wouldn't think that it is smart due to over heating but im not sure. Would my best bet be to get another IDE cable thats longer and use the second hdd holder off to the left of the original? Thanks, I know its sort of a dumb question now that I read over it but o well heh.

I have four drives in mine and when I was in school it was running 24/7 with no heat issues. Put one drive on each channel for optimal performance even though the rear bay is faster then the horizontal one.
