Hi everybody I just bought a Intel I Mac core duo and I like it a lot but When I tap the space bar to awaken my Intel i Mac core duo from hibernation, the right side of the monitor makes a grind noise. The sound is kind of hard to explain but its as if the Cd drive (located on the right side of the monitor) is trying to eject a disk from the panel is this normal ?
Also do Intel I Mac core duos need to be turned off every night ?
Or Can I just walk away from the computer and let the computer go into hibernation ? Any help would be appreciated.

Sleep is the new shutdown. Shutdown is only necessary on certain occasions, such as when you have to unplug the computer.

Thanks for the reply
I just wanted to get a second opinion about this... Hibernation mode because I know if I left my windows laptop on all night someone would hack it.
