I am thinking about buying the dual 1.8 refurb on apples website to save some cash, but am worried about running the 20" ACD with the 64mb graphics card, how do you know what cards work on the G5s and where do you guys buy yours? Thanks.

I got my 6800 on eBay really cheap. About graphics cards that work, they are AGP cards. the 6800, X800, X850 are currently the best AGP cards.

Watch yourself on ebay. There are quite a few flashed pc cards being sold as Mac cards.
You didn't mention which 64 mb card you have, is it the 5200 or the 9600? Look here for a comparison of the two:

What are your plans for the G5? Are you a gamer? Going to use Motion or some other high end graphics software?
The above poster mentions some good cards, the question is do you really need any of them?
A Radeon 9600 will blow away a 5200 and a 9800 will blow away a 9600. 9600's and 9800's can be had for reasonable. For a 9600 XT with 128 mb for $85 look in the marketplace here:

And here's a 9800 for $125

Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

that is a good point you have there Chito. My experience was with the 6800. The mac version has a unique design to that of the PC version with this card. The mac x800 and x850 I believe look the same as the pc versions.

Nah. The x800/850 that are actual Mac cards have ADC ports. You won't find that on a flashed PC card.

You might try calling a Micro Center if you have one in your area. Mine had a closeout 6800GT DDL Apple OEM upgrade kit for only $222.90 when I got mine last month. Its an exceptional video card for OSX, and the price, I think.
