I just got my brand new Quad and connected my old iSight to it. I connected it to the firewire port in the back of the G5. It was really laggy and the image shifted from dark to lighter, dark to lighter. So i disconnected it, and plugged it in to the firewire port in the front - works perfectly!
Hmm.. i thought, maybe it's something with the firewire port? I tried connecting my 3rd gen. 40GB iPod (firewire), to the back firewire port and tried to transfer some files. Files transfer at normal speeds, both read/write. That's kinda weird, isn't?
So is it the iSight that's the problem?
