So, I have an Al15 Powerbook 1.33ghz.

I currently find myself not being as 'mobile' as I once was and I do much of my daily work at my desk.

I spend most of my time in apps that are Universal Binaries (BBEdit, Transmit, etc) but there are 3 that could just stop the show.

While I spend some time in PS, it is not significant. For me, Dreamweaver and Fireworks… and the just occasional, though not as much as PS, Flash (studio 8 versions) are the bread and butter apps.

I recognize that they are a ways off as universals.

Still, if anyone can compare these apps between a 1.33 G4 PB vs. Core Duo 2.0 20" from experience it would be swell™.

I am not looking for blazing increase, but more of a modest penalty assessment as I use enough UB apps to render a large increase.

A few people have said PS on the Core Duos is faster in Rosetta than it was on their 1-1.67Ghz G4s. It varies depending on what filters/actions are used (CYMK<->RGB conversions are faster on G4s than CDs). I'd expect similar results in Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Flash.
