Let's say, "How would this Mini do tryign to run Doom3?"

Gosh, I wish they'd give us a high-end alternative here, but I understand Apple's a small player in the market and has to keep the number variants down to control costs and focus their market share. Still, I can't help but feel a little bit of the old "Why Don't You Make the Exact Machine I Want!?!" here.

I'm holding out for a Blu-Ray, HD-capable Mini...or at least, I'm going to try to hold out.

Not well (espically since the OSX port is slower). Less demanding games like UT2004 and Quake 3 should be fine.

Due to cost and heat reasons, any high-end GPU with dedicated VRAM is out.

This mini is HD capable; Core Solo is good for 720p and Core Duo for 1080p.

My bet is that front row will be picky about file formats like it already is. You'd need to convert those to regular mp4 or h.264... give http://www.isquint.org/ a whirl.

Many HD TVs have DVI or VGA input (both of which the minis support).
