Do the Intel iMacs support pivoting on an external monitor? Most newer ATI cards do. Has anyone tried it? I have the Gateway 21" pivoting monitor.

I have an external monitor set up on my core duo, and the monitors control panel has a drop-down menu titled "Rotate:", the options are 0, 90, 180, 270. So it looks like it probably does support pivoting---

Oh - just tried selecting "90 degrees" and the image flipped - supports pivoting.

What I'd like to see is the ability to rotate the built-in screen; I'm planning on putting mine up on a pivoting arm.

Reminds me of high school.

The entire school was completely infiltrated with Dell computers (I do live in Austin, you know) - and my senior year I had my lunch period right in the middle of my Architectural Design Graphics course. Nearly 50% of the time when we'd return from lunch every single computer screen would be rotated at an entirely different angle - it drove me nuts! Do you have any idea how hard it is to use a mouse with a screen rotated? Argh!
