I'm helping a friend with a G3 that froze up while deleting her e-mail (no attachments were opened) and now only the question mark shows up when starting up the system. Thus far I tried zapping the PRam and tried booting up with the G3 startup disk keeping the C key depressed. Neither of these suggestions have worked. Can someone give me another idea?

Found the answer on another site. The clicks while trying to boot up (forgot to mention that in my posting) means the hard drive crashed. Looks fatal to me. To confirm I was able to boot up using Norton and could not locate the hard drive icon.
