Change Dvd Write speed in Studio Pro

Hi , I'm using a G5 with the software Dvd studio Pro.... I'm new to this Mac and this platform !
I am Burning dvd's on a GWA 4165B .. It burns on x4 discs beautifully but when I put in
1-8x discs the burner detects the highest write setting and my burner fails to burn..
How do I change the write speed to x4 ??????????
