Ah! Hitachi has the 100GB 7200RPM 2.5" SATA drive now! $198.00 (around that).

I'm a-getting one to replace my 80GB 5400RPM drive. Should I be at all concerned about it's (very) slight power requirment increase and the potential for it to generate more heat?

The maximum continuous power consumption is the same (2W when reading/writing). Idle power consumption differs by a quarter watt.
