The Hitachi doesn't do so well with 4K blocks. But it is significantly faster in all other reads/writes.

As I mentioned in another thread, this disk may not be for everyone. It is definitely more noisy than the OEM drive. The noise isn't obnoxious... it's a soft grinding/growling sort of sound. I kind of like it, let's me know just how hard my mini is working for me.
