I have almost 500 GB of backed up Divx Movies and Shows, but when I try to access them through FrontRow, they take forever to load. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a way to fix it?

I have 512MB Ram, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. If it is, does anyone know how to increase my Virtual Ram?

I'm trying to make a great Home Entertainment System, but the lag is killing me! Sucks when friends want to see it and it takes forever to load!

Are all your backed-up movies in one folder? If so, this is the reason they take so long to load. Take some time and organise them into smaller folders (preferably each folder with no more than 4-5 gig in them), and this should significantly increase load times. Because you have so many movies, front row is having to generate previews for all of the movies, which takes time.

You cannot manually increase virtual RAM in OSX. It is all managed automatically.
