the mini will be on par or better in photoshop IF you have at least 1.5gb of ram or more, anything less than that and youre better off with the 1.33. final cut isnt released as a universal binary yet and isnt fully supported either (ie. it wont run), apple is set on releasing it within a few days or so (end of march) and this app will be much faster on a mini than on your pb. once an app is universal, the mini will blow it out of the water compared to your powerbook, iphoto IS universal and is much faster on my imac than on my 1ghz pb.
NOW YOU SEE ME! 2.4 MBP and 2.0 MBP (running ubuntu)

The mini will be faster in iPhoto today.
The mini will not run FCP today.
The mini will be about the same speed as the PowerBook in Photoshop today.

The mini will be faster in FCP before the end of the month when the universal binary is released.
The mini will be faster in Photoshop in 7-13 months when the universal binary is released.

The mini will not ofiiccially run FCP today, however it will run unuder Rosetta, albeit at a reduced speed, and one or two minor features may not work.

Yep, this display will work with the mac mini, however you may get poor-ish results using Expose etc due to the mini's relativly weak graphics and the large res of the screen

thanks for the info, BUT, I dont think that I'll have problems due to the graphics, because It have's the same 64MB as the Powerbook, and expose runs fine with no problem at all...

BUT the graphics chip in your PB is superior to the one in the mini. The mini has Intel Integrated graphics, which steals memory from the main system. This provides a huge performance decrease when it comes to graphics. For quite a lot of things, the Radeon 9200 that used to be in the Mini, with just 32 MB of RAM, is better than the new GMA950 in the intel minis

I dunno, when I was in the Apple store playing with the Mini Core Duo with 512 MB of RAM, I found Exposé to be very fluid.

That's just wrong, a 32MB Radeon 9200 is a lot slower than the new integrated graphics. The old one doesn't support Core Image, the new one does. There are many benchmarks out there, you might consider reading them
Specifically in case of Expose - it's a lot faster on the Mini running at 1280x960 than it was on my iBook running at 1024x768, it's finally smooth. And yes, the iBook as the very same Radeon 9200 the old Mini had.
