I have a G5 DP 2.0. In January I found that using Retrospect + my Iomega Rev 35 firewire device to backup caused my hard drive to fill up & the backup of my hard drive froze. I did finally get a backup by copying my data to an external hard drive.

I just tried again after making sure that I had the latest version of Retrospect, latest RDU, latest OS update & a reinstall of the Iomega Rev software. Same result--disk full & backup froze.

Help--any ideas?? TIA!
With a 'chute, computer and LAN cord, here I go GERONIMO!!

My initial post was premature--the first indicator that the backup was causing problems previously was when my hard drive free space plummeted as I did a backup. This time it dropped by 2 gigs within 5 minutes of starting the backupo, but that was it. My backup of nearly 78 gigs is almost done with the compare phase and all appears well!
