Hi,

I have just upgraded to java 5 and was windering how to uninstall any previous versions i.e 1.4 etc on Tiger?

Hi C19H28O2,

As far as I know you can't remove the older 1.4.x release - you have to leave both 1.4.x and 1.5 there.

Is having 1.4 around causing any problems??

Hi,

I don't think it is causing any problems as far as I know, i just prefer to remove software that i know i'm not going to use, but i figured some pages, browsers, apps might still rely on the old 1.4 so best to keep it there!
