That depends on how much and what kind of upgrade flexibility you want. Personally, I would prefer a Mini, even with the craptastic graphics.

Mini + Display + Keyboard + Mouse = $1000+ = You should probably just get an iMac unless you have the extra hardware laying around or want a device to use for your home theatre.

The only real problem I have with iMacs in general is that it is all integrated. If the display fails, or if other internal parts fail, you're hosed. A Mini by its nature is an independent box, so a display failure means you get that fixed or replaced and the computer itself is otherwise unaffected.


I'm going to close this thread because the OP made a new one (that I just saw) and that one has lots of traffic.
