It never rains....
I just downloaded the update OS X 10.4.3 from the Apple site in order to install the new 06 iLife software. (I had OS X 10.4 version).
It's downloaded OK but in the 'select a destination' box the hard disk icon appears with a red exclamation mark and '232 GBS (216 GBS free)' underneath.
There are two hard disk icons in disc utility (last week a second hard disc icon briefly appeared on my desktop of its own accord, dunno why!). The first disk on the DU list is named GBWDC2500JD…HBCO' but now a prefix '232.9' has appeared. This 'disc' has scant info, but says it has 84,587 files installed! The second disc is just Mackintosh HD and the info says there is 232.8 GB, 216.0 free.
I have no idea what is going on. The download appears to be only 157 MB.
Could these two issues somehow be related?
I would be extremely grateful if someone could help me solve this mystery as I urgently need to use some of the functions on my new software.
Thank you!
